No one cared for it.
And that is where it ended.

Introduction

Thank you for downloading Libretta.
Libretta is an adventure game with puzzles to solve and multiple endings.
Parts of the game are somewhat scary, but I wouldn't consider it much of a horror game on the whole.

The game contains some brief, but potentially disturbing things which you should be aware of before deciding to play. They are:
- Allusions to murder and suicide.
- Low-detail strangled, decapitated, shot, and dismembered corpses.
- One possibly-claustrophobic scene.

Controls

Arrow Keys: Move Libra, Alter Choice
Z / Enter / Space: Inspect, Talk, Advance, Confirm, etcetera
Shift: Open/Close Inventory, Close Book (when allowed), Cancel Choice
Ctrl (hold): Speed Up Text
X: [Alternative key which performs the functions of both Shift and Ctrl]

A through Z: Write (when prompted)

C: Quickly Skip Text (when held), Skip Cutscene
(The C key's skipping functions are only available after seeing the true ending.)

Note:
Most items are used automatically, but sometimes you will be prompted to select an item from your inventory.
The inventory screen opened when you press X/Shift is only for checking what you have; you cannot use items from it directly.
However, it may sometimes prove helpful for looking at item descriptions and the like.

Walkthrough

I've done my best to incorporate puzzle hints into the game; additional hints may appear nearby when you get something wrong or check something again.
If you're still stuck, however, a complete walkthrough is available on the official website.
